This kitchen transformation began with a common complaint: the existing layout had plenty of square footage but terrible workflow. The refrigerator was isolated on a side wall, the cooktop sat in a corner with no landing space on either side, and a peninsula cut the room in half without providing useful seating. Our task was to reconfigure the space into a functional kitchen that worked for a family that cooks daily and entertains regularly.

The design solution centered on a galley-to-open-concept conversion: we removed the partition wall between the kitchen and dining room, relocated the sink to an exterior wall with a window above it, created a continuous 14-foot run of counter space on the cooking wall, and added a 9-foot island with seating for four. Cabinetry is full-overlay shaker in a warm white finish. Countertops are Carrara-look quartz with a waterfall edge on the island. The backsplash is handmade subway tile in a herringbone pattern. Under-cabinet LED strip lighting illuminates the work surfaces without visible fixtures.

On the systems side, we upgraded the electrical service to support a 36-inch induction cooktop, double wall ovens, and a dedicated microwave circuit. Plumbing rough-in was reconfigured to move the sink 8 feet from its original location. A 600-CFM range hood vents to the exterior through the attic — not recirculating back into the room. The floor is 12×24 porcelain tile laid in a one-third offset pattern with epoxy grout that will not stain or discolor with cooking traffic.

What we build

  • Walk-in and butler’s pantries
What we build

Refresh & refit kitchens

Same-footprint refreshes — new cabinet faces, countertops, hardware, lighting and appliances — without the time, cost or permits of a full renovation.

  • Cabinet refacing or door-front replacement
  • New quartz, marble or porcelain countertops
  • Backsplash and lighting upgrades
  • Hardware swaps and appliance upgrades
Our process

We coordinate design, demolition, custom cabinetry lead-times, stone fabrication, electrical and plumbing. Typical timeline: 4–8 weeks for a refit/refresh, 10–16 weeks for a full renovation including custom cabinetry.
